Mutual exposures between wilderness and human civilisation bring their own health hazard. Our congeners in Wuhan have been enduring this more than others, recently. Contacts between the wild and the mild are still necessary for the advancement of humanity. Our research, using alligator clips, disused circuit boards and other cast-off electronic parts, is an attempt to force-connect the realm of raw, wild and erratic circuitry with the world of human deliberate productions. In other words, we try to untame the tamed, and tame the untamed. So far we obtained sparks and smoke, and soniferous semi-alive ephemeral creatures.
This track is an excerpt of the Yemare session (June 13th, 2019) with Ju巨 & guibog鬼大爷. We used two second-hand 野马 toy pianos, a broken Yamaha KB-100 board, a discounted "USB Car DJ Party Light Effect" and some other recycled material. The full video is available at http://soniferous.tartarie.com/synths-deboning/0613_Yemare.mp4
guibog鬼大爷 & Ju巨 are two French hutongsters living in Beijing. One is coder at Douban and the other is architect. They work on the soniferous project, trying to awaken and intercross half-dead electronic machines.
