In 2019, I saw two gigs using metronomes. The first one was a piece with percussion but there was a metronome on the floor. I realized I liked the sound after that night. The second time was at a contemporary music festival, and the opening piece was 70-80 metronomes on the factory floor. I wanted something simpler. I wanted to go outside and play it. Where? Seems like it could only be there, under the overpass I've frequented many times.
